19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his initial title for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his initial trophy since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since March of 2023.
Victory also means he has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive play style and frequent outbursts on court had led some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent defended four early break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
